Tomorrow is my birthday, and I got an early present from my wonderful husband and kids....an iPhone 5c!

My new iPhone!
Last year I wrote a post about not having an iPhone, and almost being proud of it. That's because I couldn't understand why people would want to waste a perfectly good 48 hours waiting in the cold night air, just so they have bragging rights about having the first new model in their social circle. But I had to admit, it would be really cool if I got it to integrate with my iPad and MacBook Pro.
Well, I didn't camp out at my nearest Apple Store to get one. R and I just went to T-Mobile and got one...simple and quick. And even though we had a small debate about the merits of the this model or the snazzier iPhone 5s, we decided to save some money and get the less expensive 5c. I wanted to get it in a nice pale turquoise color - they apparently come in five different ones - but it was a moot point anyway, since I covered it up with a protective shell. But at least it's got a great Hawaiian-style design:

So now I'm enjoying the benefits of listening to all of my music (no stupid Double Twist conversions, thank God), having all of my calendars synced up and generally being more productive. Well, that's the intention.
Also, I'm not writing my usual long post here about online travel marketing, because I'm giving myself this time to chill. Birthdays only come around once a year, y'know
